About the team
We are currently looking for a talented product/project manager to join our product development team, called “La Manufacture” within Ekimetrics in Paris office.
For a few years now, we have been developing ad hoc decision tools, in the form of data-intensive web & mobile applications, based on latest development frameworks and state-of-the-art Data Visualization. We are a small team (less than 10 people), which allows us to work in a start-up spirit; but we are part of a bigger company, which gives us great advantages in terms of business expertise and commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for Ekimetrics product’s roadmap: enhancing and packaging the decision making application suite:

  • Prioritizing new features;
  • Working on the suite business model and selling strategy.
    • You will be the lead on different product development strategic projects:
  • Project management: deadlines keeper, budget keeper, team staffing, client main contact.
  • Product management: exhaustive gathering of clients requirements, requirements prioritization according to budget and deadlines, creation of basic mockups, management of the Kanban board, responsible for the Scrum methodology, responsible for the tests and the final quality of the product.
    • Communicating internally and externally about the team.
    • Recruitment: of software developers and junior product/project managers.
    • Client relationship is very important: we are a B2B company whose client satisfaction is top priority. You will always keep in mind the business context of your work, and interact with the client to understand his needs. Although we all work in Jeans and t-shirts in the office, you are ready to put on your suit to meet the client once in a while.
    • Sales: you will be involved in the sales process of new applications (pricing, demos…).
    • Methodologies: you will be responsible for helping the team getting bigger and more structured: applying Scrum methodology on main projects, helping in the implementation of new best practices: methodologies, trainings, code reviews…

About you
We are looking for people graduated from top French “grandes écoles” or international top universities, with at least 3 years of experience, willing to work in a young and dynamic company with a strong culture.

Must-have skills
• 3 years of experience, ideally in software development.
• Very strong communication skills:

  • With clients: you can explain the team’s work to non-technical people, negotiate pricings and deadlines, and understand the client’s business needs.
  • With the team: you will be a strong part of the team’s cohesion and vision. As a lead on different key projects of the team, you will work with everyone in the team and also with different people from different teams: transparent communication between you and the other project members is vital for the project success.
  • Written communication: knowledge management is key for a growing team, therefore writing clear documentations is very important.
    • Very strong organizational skills:
  • You will have to keep an eye on several projects in parallel: for some of them you just need to be aware of the current status; for some of them you will be the lead on the project. It is therefore very important to be organized to be able to follow all this in parallel.
  • On the projects that you lead, there can be multiple contacts internally and at the client’s level.
  • You need to be aware of all the team’s projects in order to be able to communicate on them, demo the tools developed in any project, and be ready to help testing and providing feedback on the tools.
    • You have experience with the Agile methodology, Scrum and Kanban. You will be responsible for applying these methodologies on the team’s main projects
    • You have experience with the software development life cycle: gathering requirements, writing user stories, creating mockups, tests, delivery, production support.
    • Fast learner: you can adapt to many situations: because the technical aspects evolve and change, being able to learn fast and adapt to new constraints, technologies and situations is vital. As a senior Ekimetrics consultant, you can link the team’s offer to other Ekimetrics offers.
    • You are fluent in English.
    • Initiative: as the team is small and evolving like a startup within Ekimetrics, there is a lot of space for initiative on tons of topics (communication, organization, pricing, sales, methodologies…). We expect you to come up with ideas and coordinate with the team to realize them.
    • Basic knowledge of Power Point and Excel: capable of preparing slides quickly for a presentation, and to use Excel for different purposes: project follow-up, graphs, tests…
    • Basic knowledge about prototyping: you are capable of drawing interface mockups on a prototyping software (Balsamiq, Skecth…)
    • You are, as any Ekimetrics employee, passionate about the data and willing to work for major international companies.

Nice to have
• Technical background: it will be easier for you to discuss with the team and understand the technical issues that they face if you have coded before.
• Knowledge about the web development ecosystem: technologies, competitors, trends…
