Job description

To accelerate our growth we are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager with a proven track record in sales and building partnerships with top brands and retailers to join our successful Partnerships Team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director France, you will focus on developing existing relationships with our merchants, network and agency partners to expand our breadth of offers for the consumer.
He/she will also contribute to support new business initiatives and investigate new operating models.

Main responsibilities

Partner Manager:
• Forge strong relations with retailers featured on our website.
• Establish positive relationships with networks and agencies, and performance reviews when necessary.
• Act as the first point of contact for retailers, networks and agencies and respond to requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Own an advertiser portfolio of predominately mid-tier and high potential accounts.
• Attend meetings independently, to review performance and secure strong commercial packages.
• Negotiate exclusive offers and better commercial arrangements with retailers, agency representatives and affiliate networks.
• Analyse the performance of retailers’ discounts and regularly feedback on results.
• Produce in-depth reports for high revenue accounts where appropriate using multiple data resources.
• Utilise varied data sources to maximum effect both internally and externally in order to provide smarter insights and recommendations to both merchant partners and the Partnerships Team.
• Undertake ad-hoc projects set by Team Leader with efficiency and finished to a high standard.
• Identify new opportunities within your assigned retailer and network portfolio, and proactively target these opportunities.
• Liaise with Editorial, Marketing and Email teams to coordinate seasonal promotions with retailers.
• Administrative duties, such as adding content to our site, recording agreed exclusive codes and exposure packages and adhere to all financial or legal processes.
• Be accountable for portfolio weaknesses and independently problem solve.
• Embrace new company initiatives and act as the ‘go to’ for more junior team members.
• Contribute to the overall top line revenue growth and sales targets.

People Management:
• Ensure effective training of new and/or junior members of the team.
• Act as a point of assistance for more junior members of the team.
• Serve as mentor to new recruits.
• As the team grows, take on direct reports being accountable for their performance.

Strategy:
• Assist your Sales Director in the development of new strategy initiatives.
• Present new initiatives to the Partnerships Team.
• Work closely with the Partner Coordination team to help report on KPIs.
• Represent the company at relevant Industry events such as conferences and Award ceremonies.
• Maintain a full awareness of market, competitor activity and consumer trends and share with the Partnerships Team.


Preferred experience

The successful candidate will offer the following profile:
• Business School Degree
• Minimum 5 years account management experience ideally within the online marketing space.
• Fluency in French and English
• Confident, articulate ‘people person’ with excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and pragmatic - works well to targets and happy to take on responsibility for multiple deliverables and projects working independently and as part of a team.
• Persuasive – able to convince retailers and networks to provide our website with the very best deals.
• Tenacious and resilient – overcomes setbacks quickly and identifies new approaches when required.
• Comfortable presenting opportunities face to face, speaking on phone and meeting new clients at networking events.
• Good numeracy skills - competent working with numbers and more complex statistical data.
• Super organized – able to multitask and thrives working towards targets and deadlines.
• Commercially savvy.
• Loves the web and comfortable learning new interfaces and programs.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is an advantage, but not required.
