About the team

We are currently looking for a talented Head of Product Engineering to join our product development team, called “La Manufacture” within Ekimetrics in Paris office, and help it growing.
For a few years now, we have been developing ad hoc decision tools, in the form of data-intensive web & mobile applications, based on latest development frameworks and state-of-the-art Data Visualization. We are a small team (less than 10 people), which allows us to work in a start-up spirit; but we are part of a bigger company, which gives us great advantages in terms of business expertise and commercial opportunities.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for Ekimetrics product’s roadmap at a strategic level: in collaboration with Ekimetrics CEO and the team, you will work on Ekimetrics product offer, roadmap and business model.
• You will be responsible for the team management:
o HR: individual objectives, reviews, career paths, recruitment.
o Turnover: you will report to Ekimetrics CEO about the turnover produced by the team and will be responsible for the team’s yearly objectives.
o Organization: you will help the team improve its internal organization as you help it growing.
• Projects:
o Although you will not work on all the team’s projects, you will be aware of them and able to explain their goals, status and to demo the associated tools.
o You will work on some key projects of the team: you will be responsible for the staffing, the deadlines and the political and blocking aspects of the client’s relationship.
• Pre-sales / Clients: you will have the responsibility to expand the team’s business and sell new projects, working with current and new clients.
• Strategy: you will be strongly involved in Ekimetrics development initiatives. You will be involved in the firm strategic decisions and be a strong representative of Ekimetrics Culture.
• Communication: you will represent the team and Ekimetrics to build their reputation and brand.

About you
You are graduated from a top French “grandes écoles” or international top university, with experience in people management, client relationship and a technical background.

Must-have skills
• At least 6-10 years of experience split in the following areas of expertise: software development, consulting, product management, project management, people management, or similar.
• Very strong communication skills:
o With clients: you can explain the team’s work to non-technical people, negotiate pricings and deadlines, and understand the client’s business needs.
o With the team: you will be a strong part of the team’s cohesion and vision. As a lead on different key projects of the team, you will work with everyone in the team and also with different people from different teams: transparent communication between you and the other project members is vital for the project success.
o Presentation: you will present a lot: to the team, to Ekimetrics, to the clients…
• Very strong organizational skills: you will manage a growing team and several projects in parallel.
• You have experience managing people.
• You have experience managing complex projects.
• You have experience working with major international companies.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are a Power Point expert: you can prepare impactful presentations in a short time.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new and long lasting client relationships at senior levels.
• Team oriented and collaborative working style, both with clients and those within the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to develop younger talents and build a high performing team.

Nice to have
• Technical background: it will be easier for you to discuss with the team and understand the technical issues that they face if you have coded before.
• You have experience with the software development life cycle.
• You have experience with the Agile methodology, (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge about marketing and its ecosystem.
• Knowledge about the web development ecosystem: technologies, competitors, trends…
• Knowledge about the data science ecosystem: technologies, competitors, trends…
