TheFork, a TripAdvisor® Company is the leading online restaurants reservation platform in Europe with a network of more than 50,000 restaurants worldwide, more than 18 million monthly visits, 11 millions of opinions The platform operates as “LaFourchette”in France and Switzerland as “ElTenedor” in Spain, as “TheFork” in Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Australia, Brazil, Sweden and Denmark. TheFork connects restaurants and diners via TheFork (website and application), as well as through TripAdvisor. Users can easily select a restaurant according to their own criteria (such as the localization, type of cuisine, restaurant type and average price), consult their reviews, check real-time availability and instantly book online. For restaurants, TheFork provides a software solution, TheFork Manager, which enables restaurants to optimize reservation management, streamline operations and ultimately improve service and revenues, following Yield Management principles of price variability relative to time, a practice used successfully in the travel and hotel industries.

Based in HQ in Paris and directly reporting to the Head of Brand, you’ll be responsible for supporting countries in defining and executing the PR and social media agenda, in line with the global brand ambition.
What you will do:

- PR

Responsible for driving global PR agenda

  • Define yearly global BtoC PR ambition & initiatives in collaboration with countries, communication teams (central and local) and in line with global brand project
  • Consolidate global PR agenda with the input from B2B team regarding PR BtoB strategy & content
  • Define global PR KPIs and monitoring model, in collaboration with countries
  • Consolidate central PR BtoC and BtoB budget (with the help of B2B central team for B2B) and support countries when relevant in defining local PR ambitions and budgets
  • Regularly report on PR topic to management (B2B and B2C)
  • Coordinate central PR campaigns (in particular for global partnerships or product releases, M&A announcement or other global topics)
  • Pro- actively define and originate new global topics & contents to be activated locally with buy-in of countries
  • Identify content and concept mutualisation opportunities in : ie trend studies, economic impact studies, other
  • Lead and execute the development of key content pieces for the group, in collaboration with B2B central team when relevant: ie – studies / identify potential synergies with TripAdvisor content pieces

Responsible for supporting countries in day-to day PR Management and in delivering upon their PR ambition, in particular:

  • Animate the internal PR community to encourage collective work, regular information sharing, best practices sharing (e-mails, monthly meetings ..)
  • Help countries drive key learnings from activation with a continuous improvement mindset mode and deriving best practices
  • Support on defining key messages and delivering them to the press ( organise trainings, etc)
  • Supporting with all PR related requests from countries and central teams

Responsible for implementing and enforcing PR Governance

  • Define and communicate on internal PR processes and policies (TheFork but also with TripAdvisor) incl. validation processes and escalation processes, monitoring, relationships etc
  • Define the process of crisis communication
  • Lead and drive the spokespersons training agenda across the group

PR and IR point of contact for the Group & lead PR relationship with key internal stakeholders

  • With all countries
  • With other central teams (partnerships, media, sales enablement etc) when relevant- define areas of improvement in collaboration
  • Lead relationship and point of contact with TripAdvisor Central PR team and identify areas of collaboration on key topics: messaging, market and impact studies, governance etc

- INDUSTRY RELATIONS (IR)

  • IR point of contact for the group (as described above), including collaboration with TripAdvisor when relevant
  • Responsible for driving and coordinating global IR agenda: leadership on global IR strategy development at the group level, in collaboration with local IR managers
  • Responsible for supporting countries in day-to day IR Management

- SOCIAL MEDIA

Responsible for driving global SOCIAL MEDIA AGENDA – Performance activities excluded

  • Define yearly global BtoC social media ambition & initiatives in collaboration with countries, B2C communication teams and in line with global brand project
  • Consolidate global social media agenda with the input from B2B team regarding BtoB strategy & content
  • Derive central SM budget and support countries in defining local ambitions and budgets on SM
  • Pro-actively originate and coordinate BtoC global social media campaigns (like viral videos), to be activated locally with buy-in of countries, working closely with other central teams (perf team for ex)
  • Identify content and concept mutualisation opportunities between countries when relevant
  • Define global social media governance and processes (in particular with SSC), SM KPIs, SM management tools and monitoring model, in collaboration with countries and in coordination with BtoB central team with regards to B2B
  • Define social media internal policy
  • Drive the training agenda for SSC– to be then handed over to local marketing teams
  • Regularly report on Social Media topic to management

Responsible for supporting countries in day-to day Social Media Management, in particular:

  • Animate the internal Social Media community to encourage collective work, regular information sharing, best practices sharing (e-mails, monthly meetings ..)
  • Help countries drive key learnings from activation with a continuous improvement mindset mode and derive best practices
  • Support on defining standard social media contents: page descriptions, standard crea for countries in-demand, standard reply for SSC agents, other
  • Supporting with all SM - related requests from countries and central teams

SM point of contact for the Group

  • With all countries
  • With other central teams (SSC in particular, partnerships, media, sales enablement etc) when relevant- define areas of improvement in collaboration

Preferred experience

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree in marketing/communication or a related field
  • 8-10 years in PR – experience in PR agency is a strong plus. Proven working experience in driving company projects involving various stakeholders
  • Experience in social media
  • Strong willingness to lead innovative and disruptive projects for the Group
  • Solid skills in messaging
  • Drive for results and leaderships skills
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, curious, autonomous and proactive
  • Understanding of the restaurant industry is a plus
