The position

Job description

Paylead’s core business is valuing bank transaction data. As part of the Engineering Team, you’ll build great products, data science and tech that Customers (banks, insurances, fintech, retailers) will love using. As we operate multiple services (API, front-ends, AI engines) for our clients, and within a complex regulatory and competitive framework, you’ll keep learning new things every day and share what you have learned with the team.

The team is composed of engineers with different backgrounds and experiences both in the industry and academia. We expect you to bring your experience, your knowledge, your curiosity to keep learning, your Passion for Excellence and Hard work and above all your Team play mindset.


Preferred experience

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will work with other teams to develop new features
  • Help the product to be able to scale easily
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Review and adopt a critical look on developments
  • Be proactive on all our daily basis

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years experienced in Back-end engineering, in companies with proven scaling track records and tech superiority on the market.
  • Solid experience with Python programming
  • Good amount of knowledge in SQL
  • Use to work with pytest or another automated testing framework
  • Strong curiosity with active watch on engineering topics
  • Proven rigor in high quality coding, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
  • Ability to make independent decisions and take ownership for them

NICE TO HAVE’S

  • An appetite for Machine Learning
  • An experience as a talker in technical event like MeetUp, PyConFR
  • Database Architect skills
  • A first experience using Gherkin
  • A first experience using Jenkins
  • Active in an open source community
