The position

Job description

The role of the Business Development Manager include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing long term relationships with a range of sports, leisure and lifestyle brands.
  • Creating campaign proposals that excite and impress existing and potential clients.
  • Identifying and chasing down business leads that would benefit from exposure to our cycling and running communities.
  • Maximise existing relationships developed by our French and Australian teams.
  • Working alongside the Community Leader, deliver campaigns that inspire and motivate our communities.
  • Working with Product Marketing and other teams to help refine the UK proposition as the business evolves.

Preferred experience

  • Be passionate about participation in sport and activity
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in a fast moving media sales or business development environment, ideally in the sport industry
  • Be a creative thinker who can understand how to create inspiring marketing campaigns and partnerships that help our partners deliver against their marketing objectives.
  • Be highly-organised and have the ability to chase up and close multiple deals and campaigns at the same time.
  • Have a strong analytical mind and understand how businesses and brands may (or may not) benefit from working with Sport Heroes Group.
  • Have excellent communications skills and meticulous attention to detail - both verbal and written.
  • Be target driven and comfortable operating autonomously in a start up environment.
