About the role

With many new challenges in 2019, our team is seeking experienced Product Owners to serve as a product leader in a Feature team, by setting the product vision and driving execution on a day-to-day basis within one of our Tribes (Sellers, Buyers, Ops).

What you’ll be doing

Delivering and conceiving product increments on our multi screen platforms

  • Work closely with Product Designers and Engineers to come up with the best solution to address our customer’s pain points
  • Write clear user stories at both low-level function point & macro theme level, combining with acceptance and criteria
  • Maintain a clear discovery backlog of possible innovations. Working with UX team & Engineers, develop and prototype new ideas to test with users in order to refine the requirements and user experience
  • Define with the support of the Product Data Analyst clear metrics and A/B tests to run and shares learning with colleagues
  • Regularly generate insights about your Products

Iterate on a product line that has impact on defined business and product metrics

  • Organize your feature team day-to-day workflow, make sure that all your team co-members love it
  • Prioritize everything within your teams and explain objectively reasons behind it to all partners
  • Own rollout planning coordinated with the POs. Work with the team to ensure that the scope of all requirements is well understood and that the product increments are built in accordance with the original requirements.
  • Ensure that all products shipped by your team are bug-free
  • Work effectively in an Agile environment to deliver product increments, organize and plan with the Scrum Master rituals for the feature team: Sprint planning, Backlog grooming, Demo, Retro

Partnering, communicating with teams, reporting & making your ideas live in the right way

  • Take a collaborative approach and foster strong working relationships with your team and the VC Product Guild
  • Work directly with key business stakeholders, at all levels of the business to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our products in ways that will deliver significant business value
  • Report rigorously on a regular basis and with the relevant communication tool to you counterparts and managers to maintain a clear update of the activity (KPIS, releases, in progress)
  • Keep up to date with latest industry & tech blogs, follow local/ global product blogs and be a member of local product groups attending them regularly
  • Take initiatives to lead and account for the Customer voice internally through Product argues recommendations (bench, analysis, studies, survey etc.).

Preferred experience

  • 3+ years’ experience of operating and delivering results and proven success in Apps and Webmobile product management role with B2B and B2C technology / software products
  • Engineering mindset or degree or 5-years-diploma of Business School
  • You are a team player and have a natural ability to make things happen around you
  • You have a passion for well-designed products and excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem
  • You do not need to be micromanaged; to accomplish team and company goals, you can wear multiple hats and pickup new technologies and languages.
  • You have a strong business sensitivity and understand the importance of delivering values to the end-users.
  • Problem solver with a strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and empathy.
  • Computer science degree or equivalent work experience
  • Great knowledge how to work in an agile organization is required!
  • You need to be able to defend your product choice in English. French is a huge plus.
  • Strongly desired : e-commerce experience.
