BidMotion is a young Ad Tech company focused on simplifying and optimising mobile advertising. We are using big data techniques to empower worldwide mobile marketers by helping promoting the right mobile application to the most engaged audience at the most opportune moment.

From the demand-side with its trading desk software to the client-side with Android and iOS SDKs installed in hyper casual games (via its sister company HomaGames), BidMotion managed in less than 5 years to get involved in most strata of the Ad Tech ecosystem.

During the past couple years and with a tiny but dedicated team, BidMotion developed from the ground up its own demand-side platform (DSP) making it possible to buy its own advertising space through Real-Time Bidding (RTB) on Ad Exchanges.

BidMotion's DSP technology bids for 130 campaigns by connecting to 9 Ad Exchanges and serves over 5 million bid requests per minutes. Its AWS-based infrastructure involves 28 servers (including 18 bidders) spread across Europe and the US.

Job description

BidMotion is now looking for a Data Scientist with a good understanding of the Ad Tech ecosystem (specifically of Real-Time Bidding problematics) to bring the performances of its DSP to the next level.

As a Real-Time Bidding Data Scientist at BidMotion, you will be responsible of its DSP's machine-learning stack. In particular, you will be in charge of:

  • Taking ownership of our current DSP machine-learning stack
  • Improving our Click-Through-Rate predictions and design new bidding functions by implementing the latest state-of-the-art models available in the literature

This role requires a lot of autonomy while still being able to work as a team player when circumstances ask for it.

Preferred experience

  • Previous successfull experience in the ad-tech industry
  • Hands-on experience in Real-Time-Bidding on ad-exchange networks
  • Hands-on experience in building Click-Through-Rate prediction models and designing bidding functions models
  • Strong coding skills in Python 3.x and good knowledge of its ecosystem
  • Good knowledge of algorithmics
  • Good knowledge of Machine learning techniques
  • Practical knowledge of SQL
  • Practical knowledge of Unix-like environments (Linux, BSD, macOS, etc.)

Bonus points

  • Knowledge of the Java language (Java SE 8, Maven)
  • Knowledge of the Scala language
  • Experience with the Apache Spark data processing engine
  • Experience with the Amazon Web Services
