Job description

We’re looking for an events marketing manager to help us create an amazing community for finance leaders! We’ve built CFO Connect as a space offline and online for finance leaders to meet and learn from each other. We host regular meetups, produce helpful content, and build a network of high-performing CFOs.

Our event marketing manager will manage the organisation of these meetups including the logistics, promotion and marketing experience post event. We’re also hoping to test some new formats, so come up with all your ideas!

Today we’re hosting events in 4 cities (Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona) but are looking to open more, so get ready to pack your bags! You’ll likely be out on the road 20% of the time.

This role is perfect for an organised, self-motivated and confident person who is likes the mix of building strong relationships in person and getting into the details behind the scenes.

Key missions ✍️

Event management

  • Set event calendar with contacted speakers
  • Create all the necessary materials (flyers, goodies, etc)
  • Manage all logistics and operations for the events (travel booking, caterer, venue, etc)

Community management

  • Build relationships with financial leaders
  • Work with speakers on programming for the events

Internal communication

  • Develop and communicate the before/during/after plans for each event to Spendeskers
  • Coordinate with the sales and CS team
  • Produce follow ups and ROI analysis of event effectiveness

External communication

  • Define and implement promotion strategy (email, handwritten invitation, linkedin ads, etc.)
  • Design an engaging follow up experience for attendees
  • Create valuable content from the event programming

Preferred experience

  • 2+ years of experience in event planning and management
  • You’re bilingual in English and French
  • You have a genuine curiosity in startups and fintech, and always seek to learn new things
  • You’re comfortable communicating with a wide array range of people whether face-to-face at events or on social media
  • You’re rigorous, organised and reliable – you know how to set your priorities and stick to them
  • And last but not least, you’re autonomous, proactive and resourceful – you’re always a step ahead and bounce back easily
