About the role

La Fourche is a community-based e-grocery brand that makes sustainable consumption accessible to every family!

We believe that food and ecological transition need the middle class to become mainstream. Through an innovative subscription model, we offer the best organic and sustainable products up to 50% below market prices. Founded 6 years ago, La Fourche has reached over 100 000 members and 300 employees in France, and secured funding recently due to a steady 75% growth in 2023. 🎉📈

We ambition to reach 250k members and double our revenues within next 3 years with 3 strategic moves: expand further in Europe after opening Germany in 2023, roll out our new Fresh offering across French cities and manage the last mile delivery.

We are looking for a CFO to take full ownership of La Fourche’s finance strategy, execution, and communication. As a key member of our executive team, you will manage our financial strategy and operations, provide strategic insights to help the business grow and sustain, lead investor relations, manage equity & non dilutive financing, and steer budget & compliance across functions.

You will lead, mentor and grow our amazing Finance team. You will report directly to Nathan, co-founder & CEO.

This is an amazing opportunity for a strong finance profile with background in FP&A and experience in fundraising.

Responsibilities

Financial strategy

  • Lead the financial strategy to execute La Fourche’s short and long-term vision working with founders and key Excom members

Financing

  • Define financing strategy to help the company grow & sustain

  • Lead our potential next Series (C) together with the CEO

  • Handle all relationships with banks and other financial stakeholders.

FP&A and reporting

  • Oversee La Fourche’s budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Steer reporting processes with key internal stakeholders and implement lean initiatives to make sure we reach revenues & margin targets

  • Lead internal & external financial communication & reporting

Accounting and Regulation

  • Ensure La Fourche’s overall compliance including accounting, regulatory & tax

  • Manage all relationships with auditors & tax authorities

Working Capital

  • Implement strategies to monitor, and improve stock and working capital outlook

Impact

  • Own not only financial KPIs but also impact-related KPIs

  • Define & steer our Impact roadmap with the Excom while supporting the CEO on the newly-created Impact Committee with investors.

Team

  • Manage an FP&A manager, an Admin, and potentially an Accounting manager

Requisitos

  • Passionate about our mission, climate, and food transition. Genuinely excited to work for an impact-focused scale-up

  • 8+ years of experience as a financial leader with large exposure in a startup or fast-paced SMB.

  • Experience in Retail, FMCG and/or Logistics and Operations

  • Strong leadership, ability to learn quickly and challenge any business topic

  • Great communicator both in front of investors or new interns 👩‍🎤

  • Hands-on mindset and comfort with ambiguity

  • Excellent financial analysis skills and ability to draw conclusions with numbers

  • Strong drive and sense of ownership

  • Mastering Compliance, Accounting, and Tax topics

  • Fluent in English and French

  • Experience with team management ; outgoing personality who can motivate a team
