The Data & Analytics team empowers Back Market to take data-driven decisions when from data collection to analysis. From long term vision & discovery, to short term iterations, we partner with both business and product stakeholders to ensure the availability, reliability, accessibility, and a high standard of tracking & analysis of data across all feature teams, in all our countries. 

As a Senior Tracking Specialist at BackMarket, you will be an integral part of the Data Analytics team, working closely with Marketing and Acquisition. Your primary objective is to ensure that data from our websites and apps are available, compliant, reliable, and accessible. This role is crucial for enabling data-informed strategic decisions throughout the company.

  • Tracking implementation & governance : 
  • Implementing and maintaining tracking systems across BackMarket's digital platforms to collect data on user behavior, campaign performance, and other key metrics.

    Collaborating with the marketing team to define media tracking requirements for new tools and campaigns.

    Ensuring data quality and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

    Collaborating with developers, data engineers and analysts to facilitate analytics data integration and accessibility.

  • Tracking support and training : 
  • Providing training and general support to internal teams on tracking tools and data interpretation (Google Analytics 4).

    Developing and maintaining documentation for tracking standards and procedures

    Troubleshooting and resolving tracking issues in a timely manner.

  • Tracking development : 
  • Anticipate challenges facing the tracking industry and work peer to peer with engineering team to implement solution when needed : Data Privacy Regulations, Cross-Device and Cross-Platform Tracking, First-Party Data Collection, Server-Side Tracking, Attribution Modeling

    Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in tracking and analytics.

    You're perfect for this role if :

  • Proven experience in web and app tracking, analytics, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of tracking-analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, Tag Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (understanding and development of simple logic) and fundamental web concepts (HTML/CSS)
  • Understanding of marketing strategies and how data analytics supports decision-making in marketing and acquisition.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python is a plus
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
