Join a fast-growing, listed company with a purpose! Fastned owns and operates a network of over 270 large fast charging stations across Europe, allowing electric vehicle drivers to charge their car with 100% green energy in just 15 minutes. At Fastned you will actively contribute to combating climate change by accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility. Fastned currently operates in seven countries (offices in Germany, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Denmark) and we are pioneers in a progressive industry. In this function you will be at the forefront of expanding our business into additional countries.

This role can be based in either of our office locations, such as Ghent, Amsterdam, Cologne, Paris, London, Madrid or Milan.

Your Role

To build our network of 1000 stations, we will need to strategically open new markets. In your role as New Markets Developer you will help to identify, prioritize and foster new market developments for Fastned, including in new countries, as well as to investigate new kinds of collaborations with international partners in Fastned’s current countries of operation.

This role will help ensure that Fastned not only seizes opportunities in new markets but actively creates opportunities for strategic expansion and development in all our countries of operation.

Activities

You work as part of our New Markets team to help:

  • Assess market attractiveness for Fastned in its target countries (demand, projected EV growth, policy drivers, competition).
  • Develop commercial opportunities and negotiate the best terms for Fastned.
  • Oversee and lead key real estate transactions and negotiations, embodying Fastned's vision and mission.
  • Develop business in new markets through research, scouting and partnerships with for example infrastructure funds, real estate companies brokers and developers, motorway operators, etc.
  • Analyze attractiveness of potential targets for partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support in building alternative business models and commercial offers (franchising, joint ventures, exploitation and rent agreements, partnerships with petrol companies.)

This role will be based in Europe, where you will become part of the New Markets Division of the Network Development team, a fun and diverse group of professionals spread across Europe. You will report directly to the Head of New Markets and work under the Network Development Director. You will collaborate closely with other teams across our different European locations, and you will get the unique chance to learn a lot about - and become part of our future-driven industry, where you can make a real impact!


Profil recherché

Who we are looking for

In order to be successful in this role you have to be a convincing business developer and networker with outstanding people skills. You bring along extensive experience in high growth environments and have deep knowledge of the field of mobility. You find the right balance between strategic thinking, commercial judgment and the drive to make a difference. You are a real networker, have a nose for business opportunities and you love to push projects through until success. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • +5 years of relevant work experience;
  • A strong commercial and problem-solving mindset;
  • A self-driven, entrepreneurial mentality while seeking advice and sparring when facing challenges;
  • Great communication skills in at least two relevant languages;
  • Open for regular travel within Europe (once per month);
  • Bonus point if you have a network of key stakeholders in one of our target new markets (Italy, Spain, Denmark, Austria and Poland);
  • You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition!
