  • Location: Gentilly or Lyon, Boston, if Europe out of France (75% time spent out of country of origin) 

  • 50% of travel expected particularly the first year.

The M&S Team has decided to create a dedicated Product Launch organization to oversee and ensure a successful execution of new product launches, to globalize the Strategy organization to meet the GBU expectations while optimizing the one Sanofi M&S network and to globalize the Operational excellence Org. to accelerate the modernization of our Smart Factories. 

 

Main responsibilities: 

 

The Global Head of Launch will lead all activities to support the launch of our unprecedented pipeline of medicines and vaccines (28 launches by 2029) with several new modalities, increasing portfolio diversity and simultaneous launch in key countries. She /he will manage multiple interfaces, influence global senior managers, and lead a team to ensure all launch activities are managed and executed as per defined timelines, removing roadblocks and prioritizing in collaboration with GBU M&S Heads.  

The team will focus on preparation of E2E launch plans starting two years before the launch and 1-2 years post launch to secure the execution. 

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive product launch strategies, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables for all products in the launch pipeline. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, CMC, Supply Chain, Operations and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure E2E-alignment and successful execution of the launch plan. 

  • Influence and communicate effectively with global senior leaders to ensure buy-in and support for the launch strategy and plans. 

  • Lead and manage a Launch Leaders team to ensure all launch activities are completed on time and within budget. 

  • Support product launch leaders by removing hurdles and roadblocks. 

  • Monitor and report on launch progress, including identifying and mitigating risks and issues for all new products in the launch process. 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. 

  • Closely collaborates with: CMC/Development, Operations, MSAT, Quality 

  • Ensures frequent communication on the status quo of the overall launch pipeline with multiple stakeholders (M&S GBU leads, IFL, SC…) 

  • Lead the launch engine ecosystem by defining standards with: 

  • CMC & M&S functions for process development (manufacturability, sourcing, COGS, digital continuum with MSAT) 

  • Sites and global M&S functions reg. the implementation and the operationability of the launch units (DS & DP). 

About you  

 

 

Experience: 

  • Significant experience in managing pharmaceutical product launches 

  • Leadership experience in a global organization, managing multiple interfaces and collaborating in matrix structures. 

  • Strong network & experiences through the different M&S GBUs is a plus 

  • Experience in manufacturing site management is a plus

Technical skills:  

 

  • University degree in Science, Business Administration or similar 

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines as well as relevant technologies 

  • Project management
