Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Executive will support on the social media marketing activity for Trainline UK, ensuring social is a core part of our integrated marketing campaigns and a key brand channel. 

Sitting within our wider Brand and Content team, you will be part of the central hub of how Trainline presents itself distinctively in every aspect – from product to personality - to customers all over the globe, exciting them based on their desires and needs during the cultural moments that matter.  

Our multi award-winning team consist of 30+ passionate, multi-national experts from across brand, copy, design, insights and content specialisms.  

As our Social Media Executive your role will involve working alongside the Social Media Manager to generate culturally relevant, fresh content for our UK social channels and our growing Foreign Travel market. Your valued ideas will be funnelled through: Great Journeys start with Trainline.    

Responsibilities 

  • In a brand-new role, you will have the opportunity to establish yourself as a social expert and be part of the team responsible for solidifying social as a core owned media channel across our core UK market and in our Foreign Travel emerging market.  

 

  • You will help to execute our existing always on social strategy, conveying our key business messages in a socially relevant way, with a key goal being to boost our follower base and engagement levels. 

 

  • The Social Media Executive will support in the execution of campaigns, working with the Social Media Manager to deliver a social campaigns aligned to business and campaign goals. 

  • You will establish a close working relationship with our in-house content team and our partner agencies to deliver the social strategy. This will include content ideation and creation, supporting in the management of agencies to deliver briefs and lead in reporting to the Social Media Manager and wider business.  

 

  • The Social Media Executive will lead in building out reporting structure for the channel, demonstrating the value social can provide to the business and establishing yourself as a Trainline social expert. 


Profil recherché

  • 1-2 years experience working in social media in commercial environments, ideally in e-commerce or travel. 

  • Understanding of the social landscape, algorithm changes and emerging platforms. 

  • Confident working with different campaign objectives. 

  • Strong customer centric approach. 

  • Experience managing internal stakeholders and external agencies  

  • Knowledge of social listening, scheduling and reporting tools.  

  • A passion for social media and creativity ✨
