The mission is to deploy the future Urban Transition fund, with a focus on DeepTech startups, and execute and monitor the remaining investments of the Axeleo PropTech 1 fund.

Specifically, the objectives of the position are:

[Sourcing]

• Identify and analyze Tier 1 deals in the sector in France and Europe, enabling Axeleo to achieve a large coverage, especially in the PropTech / DeepTech / Energy segments.

• Succeed in meeting and engaging with top entrepreneurs.

[Due Diligence / Closing]

• Act as the orchestrator for the due diligence of each deal.

• Closing: capable of getting Axeleo into the most interesting funding rounds.

[Portfolio]

• Oversee post-investment participations as a Board Member.

• Take over certain boards directly.

• Execute exits.

[Fundraising]

• Support the two GPs at the LP meetings to embody the strategy of the Urban Transition fund.

• You have a strong appetite for the Tech and Science startup and VC ecosystem, you have an entrepreneurial spirit that isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty to actively contribute and have a significant impact at the company level.

• You possess exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of communicating clearly and structured with various stakeholders, ranging from funds to entrepreneurs.

• You have excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess market opportunities, competitive landscapes, and investment risks.

• You have a minimum of 6 years of relevant and concrete experience in venture capital (VC or CVC) with a proven track record of successfully sourcing, executing, managing and following investments in early-stage startups.

• You have a scientific background or equivalent experience in a scientific field, such as engineering, physics, energy, or construction, providing a strong foundation for evaluating DeepTech startups.

• You set high standards for yourself and the team, aiming for operational excellence.

• You are fluent in English.
