Job description

B2B partnerships are at the heart of Deezer’s DNA and one of the main drivers of our growth. We are looking for a Business Development Intern to support our BD team to build strategic relationships and close opportunities with key partners, achieve sales goals and subscriber acquisition, focused on the following sectors: Media, Telecommunication, Retail (physical / digital) and Gaming.

This is a 6-month internship starting in July 2024

What you will do: 

  • Assist the BD team & B2B Senior analyst with evaluating new business development opportunities & deals across key verticals (focus on the following industries: Media, Telecommunications, Retail, Gaming…) and key countries. 
  • Support with client pipeline nurturing : identify leads with work on the qualification process. In addition, maintain and document sales and deals pipeline with global tools and benchmark.
  • Support with the creation of internal and external presentation materials.
  • Work with BD team to support ongoing relationships with partners including regular meetings on product & technical integrations, marketing launches, performance review and gather updates across BD team
  • Attend and support partner meetings through agenda management, note taking, coordination of presentation materials, meeting follow ups…
  • Support deal follow-up across cross-functional teams (such as Labels, Finance, Product, Tech, Legal) to ensure partnership deals are executed to their maximum potential and embody Deezer’s core values in your local market, be an ambassador for our global partnerships teams


Preferred experience

This role is excellent for a person with:

  • Master’s student in Economics, Business, Marketing.
  • Understanding of B2B partnerships dynamics for subscription-based, premium services, and digital marketing and analytical mindset with Financial/Business modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal & written. Other language skills will be appreciated (ie: Spanish, Italian).
  • Detail oriented and well-organized with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and balance short and long term projects simultaneously, Excel and Powerpoint have no secret to you
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships with multiple stakeholders, being excited to work within a music-oriented environment is a big plus :)
