As a Senior Project Manager, your mission is to lead and successfully deliver complex projects by providing strong leadership, strategic planning, and effective execution. You are responsible for guiding project teams, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks to achieve project objectives. Your mission involves overseeing project execution, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines and budgets. You foster a culture of continuous improvement, mentor junior project managers, and promote knowledge sharing. By effectively communicating, managing change, and driving stakeholder satisfaction, your mission is to deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations, drive organizational success, and contribute to the growth and development of your team and the organization as a whole. You will be also actively involved in the continuous improvement of the PM@Fime framework based on return of experience from your different projects.
ACTIVITIES
These activities are crucial to the role of a Senior Project Manager and contribute to the successful delivery of projects, effective stakeholder management, and continuous improvement in project management practices:
Project Leadership: Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction to project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables. Align project goals with organizational strategy and objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Identify key stakeholders, establish effective communication channels, and manage stakeholder expectations. Engage and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential risks on project outcomes.
Project Execution: Oversee project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Monitor progress, manage resources, and make informed decisions to keep the project on track.
Quality Assurance: Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high-quality outcomes.
Change Management: Effectively manage changes that arise during the project, including scope changes, schedule adjustments, and resource reallocation. Implement change control processes to minimize disruption and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Communication and Reporting: Establish clear and effective communication channels with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management. Provide regular project updates, status reports, and timely escalation of issues or risks.
Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance. Ensure effective resource allocation and cost management throughout the project.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate project management processes and practices. Identify areas for improvement in the PM@Fime framework, capture lessons learned, and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes and drive efficiency.
Team Development and Mentoring: Foster the professional growth and development of project team members. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior project managers or team members.
Master’s degree or equivalent
At least 7 years’ experience as Project Manager or equivalent
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects or portfolios
Customer oriented attitude and good interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to lead cross-functional and global projects
Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
Advanced risk management and mitigation skills
Budgeting and financial management expertise
Ability to mentor and develop junior project managers
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Experience with payment standards/specifications and market developments (EMV, 3DS, card/mobile payment processing…) is highly recommended
Experience with Test and Certification payment products development is a plus
