The position

Job description

The System Engineer at TrustBuilder will play a vital role in building and maintaining a state-of-the-art infrastructure as well as helping our customers in the technical integration of our solution. Reporting directly to the VP of Operation, the incumbent will work closely with the DevOps, the professional service, the support and the IT teams.

Roles:

1. Manage key client product on-premises installations

  • Automate installations and updates using infrastructure-as-code technologies.

  • Manage monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Collaborate closely with professional services and SRE to ensure optimal system functionality.

  • Document and share configurations and processes.

2. Participate in our production maintenance and operations

  • Monitor and optimize key client configurations.

  • Manage and enhance monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Contribute to the design and development of production infrastructure.

3. Manage and enhance our internal infrastructure and services

  • Migrate remaining on-premises services to cloud infrastructure.

  • Automate installations and updates using infrastructure-as-code technologies.

  • Manage monitoring and alerting tools.


Preferred experience

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field is often required.

  • You have at least 3 years work experience in system engineering, SRE or a related field.

  • You are proficient in systems engineering methodologies, system architecture design, and system integration is essential. 

  • You have a strong knowledge of Linux, networking concepts and database management systems, and scripting programming languages (such as Bash and Python)

  • You have significant experience with infra-as-code technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.

  • You have strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • You like to analyze complex systems, identify potential issues or areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions. 

  • You pay close attention to detail to ensure that systems are designed, implemented, and maintained correctly. 

  • Language skills: English, Dutch and/ or French.
