Localisation : Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier)
Type of contract : Permanent (CDI)
This position is responsible for Royal Canin Global Regulatory agenda on:
Market Access Strategy: Enable Royal Canin products which should become part of our core at a 7-10 year horizon to access the market under the best conditions (with speed & with the ability to promote its distinctiveness)
Regulatory Sciences: ensuring that the voice of Royal Canin is heard in discussions with Governmental bodies on tools, standards, and approaches to assess the safety, efficacy, quality, and performance of regulated products
Regulatory Advocacy: shaping technical requirements of product-related regulations and standards to protect our core business & support our health transformation. Ensure regulations & standards are based on sciences and do not create unnecessary barriers to market access.
10+ years of professional experience, with min 5 in Regulatory affairs roles
University degree in life sciences – Experience in biotechnology/biosolution is a plus
Proven record in translating vision into plans & actions
Strategic mindset, problem-solving skills & creative
Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational and functional boundaries
Fluent in English, any additional language is a plus
This position:
Provides strategic regulatory guidance and leadership to new businesses preparing for the future of Royal Canin in a 7-10 year horizon and potentially based on sciences & technologies addressing societal challenges & pet needs which are ahead of policies & regulations. This position is about creating new market access paths for the products of tomorrow.
Design roadmaps leveraging Innovation Compliance, Regulatory Trade and Regulatory Sciences & Advocacy to open the paths to the market of Royal Canin products which are expected to become part of our core at a 7-10 year horizon
Align with other GRA LT members to ensure that the function is ready, ie. has/will have the needed capacity & capabilities, to execute on the above mentioned roadmaps
With Royal Canin Public Affairs and the Business, define Royal Canin position on how should evolve applicable product-related and sanitary technical Regulations and Standards, to ensure products are safe and consumers are adequately informed and not misled.
With R&D, define where the bar should be set to defend the safety and efficacy for the products of tomorrow towards regulators and advocate for this position externally.
Ensure compatibility of Royal Canin position with the position of other Mars segments
Owns the Regulatory Sciences and Advocacy Process in the Regulatory function
Is accountable for equipping Markets’ regulatory associates with the training/tools/technical & scientific arguments they need to impact opinion leaders and decision makers
Represent Royal Canin in external forums with global impact
