The position

Job description

Reporting to the CEO of the company, your role within this fast-growing international environment will be to effectively manage and advance Vulog’s Business Development activities in China.

You will develop direct sales with local Chinese OEMs, global OEMs and carsharing operators by focusing on large-scale projects. You will also be in charge of customer accounts management.

You will be a key driver in securing the partnerships that will enable Vulog to accelerate its growth.

For the successful VP Sales and Business Developer, this role could rapidly lead to a General Management role with Vulog in China.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Implementing Vulog’s commercial strategy in China
  • Prospecting and contacting target clients in the area
  • Identifying and qualifying leads/projects, carsharing pure players, car manufacturers, cities, start-ups, long and short-term rental companies, new operators entering the carsharing market (e.g. energy companies), etc.
  • Managing customer accounts
  • Establishing a network of advisors (consultants) and business partners
  • Involvement in defining our product’s roadmap using client and market feedback
  • Participating in local events and promoting our brand and solutions
  • Being involved in recruiting the local team

Preferred experience

  • Higher education degree from a business or engineering school (MBA or equivalent)
  • Significant professional experience (at least 7 years), ideally acquired in a similar role
  • Direct or indirect experience in the automotive industry
  • Proven ability to manage important contracts, sell large projects then supervise their implementation as Account Manager
  • Ability to build a solid network
  • Capacity to evolve in a start-up environment: autonomous, sense of initiative, problem-solver
  • Analytical, methodological and able to adapt to a challenging environment
  • Experience in international companies in China or abroard is appreciated
  • Flexibility to travel within China and to the HQ in France
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
